Job Title: Sales Engineer / Senior Sales Engineer (India)

Reports to: Presales Director, Singapore & working closely with Sales Director

Location: Mumbai



Job Description – Sales Engineer / Senior Sales Engineer (India)
Job Duties (include but not limited to): 

•Complete software demonstrations and presentation of the Company platform with demonstrations that range from standard to custom demonstrations

•Implement entire suite of Company software in rapid deployment and proof of concept scenarios where customers or prospects evaluate in a live or development environment

•Constantly learn and develop expertise in Company software

•Must maintain expertise as new releases of Company software become available

•Deliver free Introduction to Business Intelligence course to clients on a regular basis and actively attract attendees to this event

•Maintain regular communication with all clients

•Arrange and conduct face-to-face client meetings on a regular basis

•Work closely with Company business partners and provide technical enablement and support in their sales cycles.

•Generate referrals and leads for Company professional services

•Participate in Company marketing conferences and events through presentation and demonstration of Company products.

•Track activity and utilization in Company’s internal sales management systems

•Based in Mumbai and travel across India (30%).  On occasion, proofs-of-concept can be held at customer locations causing volatility in this travel expectation

Job Requirements:

•This role demands individuals who are self-motivated and who are comfortable and responsible in a position that grants autonomy

•Must be able to achieve success with little management or guidance

•Proven or demonstrably outstanding presentation skills

•Proven or demonstrably outstanding speaking and writing skills

•Ability to articulate complex topics to novice or technical audience

•Ability to translate technical advantages into business benefits

•Polished and professional in both appearance, personal interaction, and all communications

•Demonstrable & excellent understanding of business intelligence / analytics /relational database management systems (RDBMS) and comfort with SQL
•BS/BA Degree in MIS, Computer Science or technical field or equivalent experience

•3-5 years experience in a customer facing role, whether sales, training or other

•Successful completion of Company certification program upon employment

•Must possess a very broad level of knowledge and understanding of business intelligence solutions in the market in order to effectively position and convey merits of Company platform to customers and prospects.

•Presales experience in an equivalent role for a technology firm is preferred.

•Proficiency in technologies which are complementary to Company software a plus, particularly:  .NET or JSP, Java, UNIX or Linux, Windows, Security, XML/XSL, DHTML
