Job Title: Technical
Sales Consultant, Mumbai, India
Position Overview:
Company
maintain a small technical services team that provide the full range of pre and
post sales Field services supporting the sale of Company security solutions
across the region. Company worldwide has an excellent reputation for the
quality of its technical support and Company is firmly committed to maintaining
this reputation.
Members
of the team generally fall into one of three broad skills groups; pre- sales
engineers, solution developers and implementation engineers, however, given the
size of the team it is essential that all team members are prepared to work in
an extremely flexible manner.
All
posts have a high degree of direct interaction with our clients and so well
developed interpersonal skills and an appreciation of commercial sales
environment are essential. As a member of the Field Services (PS) team, the
Technical Sales Consultant (SE) is responsible for managing their own day to
day tasks.
Responsibilities:

Work
closely with regional sales teams to identify and develop Sales and PS
opportunities for new and existing customer accounts.
·
Provides
pre-sales technical and project management expertise by assisting the Account
Executive in assessing potential application of company products to meet
customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications and plans for the
development and implementation of customer applications/solutions.
·
Makes
technical sales presentations and product demonstrations.
·
Provide
technical POC deployments defining scope, requirement & use cases.
·
Provide
technical RFP/RFI/RFC responses and technically qualifying opportunities based
on Company Products.
·
Provide
partner training on specific Company products and attend trade shows presenting
demo’s and workshops as required.
·
Creates
detailed design and implementation specifications for complex
applications/systems to be handed over the post-sales delivery teams.
·
May
build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate
feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or
product demo for client.
·
May
provide post-sales technical expertise during the installation, implementation
and maintenance of company products.
·
May
be involved in implementing detailed customer installation requirements.
·
Ensures
that client’s needs have been met and that the product/solution is fully
functioning according to specification.
·
May
provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by
disseminating technical information on specific applications.
Basic Qualifications & Experience
·
Bachelor’s
degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
·
Evidence
of experience in consulting or software development and integration would be an
advantage.
·
Excellent
written and oral communication skills
·
Must
be willing and able to act independently, including working at home and alone
on client sites.
·
Experience
with a security or enterprise software company is desirable
·
A
strong technical background in Information Technology Security is desirable
·
Previous
experience in a pre and/or post sale position
·
Must
be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team
environment
·
Knowledge
of Internet Security technology (e.g. PKI, Federation, SAML, SSO,
Authentication and Access Management, 2nd Factor Auth, Fraud Detection,
Smartcards / Tokens, WebSerices).
