SRE/DevOps Engineer

The Customer is looking for a DevOps Engineer to work in our Singapore Office. The candidate will be positioned within the rapidly growing digital engineering and infrastructure team to work on maintaining and scaling our application servers and the services they run. The role involves managing various types of Linux containers, virtual machines and various public cloud technologies.

Responsibilities:
·         Review and oversee platform enhancements.
·         Design new systems, tests, and procedures.
·         Manage projects for our clients across multiple data centres globally.
·         Work in a DevOps capacity with a desire to automate everything.
·         Advise on new technologies to make sure the Customer is always evolving.
·         Perform effectively to tight deadlines, work well both independently and as part of a team.
·         Communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff and the business.
·         Govern our technologies to ensure security standards are met.
·         Work closely with product developers to ensure new features have the proper operational support and maintainability.
·         Manage projects for our clients across multiple data centres globally.
·         Taking ownerships of projects gaining a personal satisfaction in achieving high performing environments.
·         Thrive in a fast-paced environment trying to always achieve new goals.
·         Continuously refine monitoring processes, thresholds, and configuration.

Experience Required:
·         Strong Linux skills.
·         Strong scripting and automation skills ( Bash / Python / Powershell ).
·         Solid understanding of fundamental technologies like TCP/IP, HTTP, and DNS.
·         Understand microservice architecture ( AWS Lambda ).
·         Understand performance enhancement and load balancing technologies.
·         Strong understanding of networking concepts.
·         Competent in public cloud technologies ( AWS / Azure ).
·         Fluent in Docker and Docker Orchestration ( Kubernetes / Helm ).
·         Excellent knowledge of Web technologies / RESTful API's.
·         Developing and maintain CI Pipelines.
·         Experience with configuration management tooling ( Terraform / Packer ).
·         System / Service metrics monitoring ( Grafana / Prometheus ).
It would be nice (but not essential) to have:
·         Experience using Agile practices.
·         Experience in software development in any language. Our focus languages are Go and C#.
