- Product Specialist
Location: Bangalore
The Desktop Specialist is a
subject matter expert in the area of desktop virtualization and mobility
leveraging Company’s infrastructure. As a member of the Company sales team, the
Desktop Specialist supports the Company sales campaigns by providing solution
area business/technical support to the India sales team by actively engaging in
enterprise customer accounts; evangelizes Company business value and technical
benefits to senior level business and technology decision makers. The Company
Desktop Specialist will be responsible for selling the company’s End User
Computing (EUC products and services) within the given geographical territory.
The Desktop Specialist is a
high impact, very visible role, instrumental in driving the adoption of Company
products and solutions in large scale enterprise accounts and commercial and
mid-market accounts as well as influencing product enhancements and the new
products/solutions that Company brings to market.
Responsibilities:
• Primary driver for the
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure business within territory working with Company
field sales team and channel partners
• Solution selling to
existing customer base and new prospects
• Forecasting and
account/opportunity detail in Salesforce.com
• Need to be a high-energy,
motivated self-starter
• Business Development in
the assigned territory
• Work closely with
Marketing and Channel team for developing Business Strategies for the
responsible products in the territory
Requirements:
• Minimum 8 to 10 years of
experience in IT Infrastructure Sales focused on Servers/Storage/Server based
computing, Thin Clients, Desktop Virtualization solutions. Experience in
Enterprise Software Sales is an added advantage
• Participate in pre-sales
efforts including: technical sales presentations, architecture design
discussions, competitive displacement, proof-of-concept engagements, RFP/RFI
responses, solution demonstrations, and technical workshops
• Experience working with Company
View, Citrix Xen Desktop or any other similar VDI product
• Significant track record
of accomplishment selling in the enterprise, client-server market
• Knowledge in selling
complex systems products and solutions
• Develop and propose
custom solutions that differentiate Company software and services, and meet
customer’s requirements and objectives.
• Present Company’s
technical & business value proposition at industry events. Strong
presentation skills as well as the ability to build and present high quality
product demonstrations to executive and business audiences. Must exhibit
ability to speak in front of large audiences
• Develop in-depth
technical knowledge of Company and domain expertise within technology subject
area
• Assume the role of an
advisory team leader organizing a team of subject matter experts, collaborating
on issues and solutions as well as collecting information on industry trends,
customer requirements and competitive analysis
• A strong technical
background in Virtual Infrastructure with expert knowledge of Company core
products and solutions is desired
• BE/MBA preferred
