JOB PROFILE OF AN ACCOUNTING MANAGER
POSITION PURPOSE:
The primary role of the Accounting
Manager is to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities or operations
of COMPANY. Responsibilities also include performing statutory compliance,
establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for
collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information. He/She is expected
to work closely with the Financial Shared Services in Manila and support the SVP
of Finance and Administration - APJ.
CHARACTERISTICS:
This role requires a person who is
able to think holistically of the entire accounting cycle from statutory
compliance to management reporting, has a good customer service orientation and
an aptitude for contributing towards efficient and effective Finance
Management. This will require strong communication skills to be able to clearly
articulate ideas and persuade others to his point of view. Accounting and
Management reporting skills will be important as with time management, people
and conflict management abilities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES and PERFORMANCE TARGETS:
1. Manage and oversee the daily
operations of the accounting department including:
➢ Month and End Year Process
➢ Accounts Payable/Receivable
➢ Cash Receipts
➢ General Ledger
➢ Payroll and Utilities
➢ Treasury and Budgeting
➢ Cash Forecasting
➢ Revenue and Expenditure Variance
Analysis
➢ Fixed Assets and Balance Sheet
Reconciliations
➢
Tax Reporting and Filing

Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce on financial reports or
statements preparation
3. Establish and enforce proper
accounting methods, policies and principles
➢ Maintain accounting controls
➢
Define accounting policies and procedures

Coordinate and complete annual audits.
5.
Drive improvements on systems and procedures. Initiate corrective actions and
implement necessary changes.
6.
Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance to guidelines and
procedures and accuracy of financial records.
7.
Establish and maintain fiscal files and good record keeping to document
transactions for future reference, tax and financial audit.
8.
Accomplishes accounting human resource objectives by recruiting, training,
assigning, coaching, disciplining employees and communicating job expectations.
9.
Support Shared Services Center objective
➢ Closely coordinate activities
relating to payment of supplier invoices and employee expenses
➢ Assist in collecting long
outstanding invoices and corresponding tax certificates
➢
Address issues relating to the accounting operations and highlight issues or
concerns with the management and provide resolutions. Be the focal point person
for all internal and external clients in India.

Qualifications:
1. Graduate of Bachelor of Science
in Accountancy or Finance. Master of Business Administration, an added bonus
2. At least 8 years of experience
in heading Finance and Accounting operations of a Services IT company
3.
Must have managed at least 5 staffs (payables, receivables, payroll, taxation, treasury)
