Smart Services Level III (L3) Support Engineer
Job Description : The Level 3 Support Engineer is a member of Support team whose primary responsibility is to act as a liaison between the L1/L2/ filed teams and L4 (developer support) and would also be responsible for case resolution/routing.
Job Description : The Level 3 Support Engineer is a member of Support team whose primary responsibility is to act as a liaison between the L1/L2/ filed teams and L4 (developer support) and would also be responsible for case resolution/routing.

Need to work with dependent application
support teams.
·
Providing proactive & reactive
technical support, second line phone/email consultation to independently
debug complex product problems.
·
Ability to work independently, as the
position only receives minimal supervision with no instruction on routine work
and general instruction on new assignments.
·
Typically interfaces with L1/L2 Support
Engineers, Product Managers and internal engineering team.
·
Responsible to work with L4 support
engineers to find the root cause and the resolution.
·
P1/P2 application support (24X7)
·
Problem & Incident management
·
Define Support process and OLA’s with
participating team
·
Resources should be flexible to work
with different time zone teams and also during the weekend depending upon the
support schedule
Skills Required
·
Strong background in J2EE/Java, Web, databases(oracle
10g and above) and Large scale applications. (M)
·
Minimum 3 years of post-production
application/on call support dealing with internal/external customers/users.(M)
·
Minimum 3-5 years of development
experience with Java/J2EE and XML based products.(M)
·
Minimum 3 years of experience with
Object-oriented Software Development Methodologies.(D)
·
Experience working with ticketing/case
creation/escalation tools.(M)
·
Experience with Network
Technologies (preferred Cisco device knowledge).(D)
· Understanding of Networking protocols such as HTTP,
HTTPS, TCP/IP, SNMP, Telnet, and SSH technologies(M)
·
Webserver & Application server
knowledge(M)
· Good understanding of Network Management System
architectures(M)
· Proficient in verbal & written communication
skills (M)
· Excellent Customer handling skills (D)
Education required

Masters/Bachelors in Computer Science or
