Marketing Manager for a world class product company
JOB SUMMARY
A
Field Marketing Manager is responsible for recommending and executing marketing
plans and campaigns that successfully launch new offerings and generate demand
for the organization’s solutions or products.
He/she
provides support for the achievement of business objectives by developing
audience specific and channel-specific marketing campaigns that generate
awareness, interest, desire and preference for solutions and that move opportunities through
the sales cycle. As the marketing manager for the India they will be
responsible for the overall management of the marketing budget and as well as
overseeing the PR and telemarketing.
B PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
·
Recommend/develop
and execution of demand generation campaigns (including executive events,
promotions, direct marketing, etc) which are tied to the revenue goals of each
targeted solution, product and/ or geography.
·
Strong
and aligned working relationship with local Country Manager to ensuring that
the marketing plan is aligned with the local business plan
·
Leads
that are qualified and distributed to both direct and indirect channels.
·
As
directed, provide marketing program support and advice for geographic led
marketing programs.
·
Contribute
to the overall go to market campaign plan for assigned solutions and
geographies.
·
Market
conditioning tools and information are developed/implemented
·
Sales
enablement tools and information are developed/implemented
·
Partner
programs jointly developed with Partner Marketing and aimed at attracting and
supporting target VARs, ISVs and CSIs
·
Effective
management of cost and overall budget management
·
Local
management of the PR agency to providing strategic input into the local PR
strategy
·
Local
management of Market One, the TM agency to ensure that leads are effectively
followed up
C RESPONSIBILITIES
·
Make
recommendations on field marketing programs and campaigns that are directly
tied to generating the forecasted revenue in the targeted solution or product
area
·
Ensure
field marketing programs and campaigns are successfully executed
·
Provide/review/approve
solution and product messaging
·
Participate
as field representative to Product Marketing for associated product set
·
Work
with Area General Managers and Consulting leaders to ensure that plans are
consistent with their selling strategies
·
Ensure
maintenance of marketing calendars and campaign systems, indicating all Global,
Geo and Area activities
·
Ensure
all aspects of demand generation events are managed effectively and actively
participate as required.
·
Work
with Area GMs and other sales personnel to ensure that leads are reviewed and
acted upon by appropriate sales personnel in a timely manner. Assure compliance in lead management process
and systems
·
Provide
ongoing communication with Area GM’s on demand generation needs, priorities,
and results
·
Communicate
overall plans to Global Field,
Geographic, Corporate and PBU stakeholders
·
Manage
the cost elements of the budget and monitor spending against plan and take
action, as necessary, to stay within budget.

The Field
Marketing Manager III
is reviewed by the APAC Director of Marketing with input from local Country
leader.
B RELATIONSHIPS TO OTHER ROLES
Product and Industry Marketing Organizations
§ Helps Product
Marketing and/or Industry Manager develop solution, product or industry
offering and call to action for campaign or go to market plan.
§ Ensure interlock
between field and the involved product marketing organizations
Sales, Marketing and Industry Leadership
§ Ensure that
designated field employees are consistently briefed on all BU’s marketing programs
and demand generation campaigns
§ Brief sales
management on potential demand generation requests and opportunities
§ Help provide
marketing-oriented sales enablement tools required to pursue and win business
in our chosen markets
§ Manage demand generation
events and activities on behalf of the Area General Managers
§ Assure proper
utilization of partners in our demand generation activities
§ Work with corporate
and product marketing in campaign planning and execution
Consulting, Training,
and Support
·
Work
with the leaders in these service areas to ensure that appropriate services
messages and focus are included in demand generation activities
·
Identify
and develop demand generation campaigns for significant stand-alone service
offerings, where appropriate
C OTHER
- The Field Marketing Manager III is an individual
contributor. He/she will establish
and maintain strong relations with area sales, specialist, and consulting
personnel as well as with product, industry, solutions or corporate
personnel.

Education/Experience:
·
BS/BA or similar degree is
desired in Business, Marketing, Computer Science or related field. MBA preferred.
·
Requires a minimum of
8 to 15 years of work related experience in high-tech marketing, product
marketing or sales with an emphasis on field disciplines.
·
Demonstrated
and proven history of success in similar roles
·
Technical
Competency – Knowledge of software and solutions development processes. Strong
understanding of enterprise software market, identity management software
market, web services software market.
Working understanding of technologies is desired.
·
Marketing
Competency – demonstrated experience in marketing, including market strategy,
demand generation, market research, and marketing communications.
